That works, thanks! Though perhaps a quick rundown on the controls might be in order? I figured out ALT to select options, but not how to move the game cursor on menus etc. arrow keys, wasd, ijkl, numpad, none seem to work.
CONTROLS: Arrow keys: Navigate the game Enter or Space: Confirm dialogues or choices. ESC: Call the menu ingame F4: Toggle full screen / windowed mode.
ALT is not used to select options. Instead, you can access the options from the game's main menu like seen in the screenshot down below. Maybe there's something wrong with your keyboard?
Hm, that sounds quite unusual. There are no chinese files in it. Are you sure you downloaded the right game? I just tested the link and it works fine for me. Inside the folder, you should see an icon that looks like this. Just click on it and the game will start.

After you downloaded the game, to launch it, just click on Fields of Fire.exe.

Oh, I fixed it. Sorry, turns out the program I was using to extract it was corrupting it.
